Understanding Prophecy
As I ponder the profound significance of prophecy, I am drawn to its transformative power within the church. Prophecy is not merely a prediction of future events; it is a divine message intended to uplift and guide us. It calls us to introspection, to consider how we can align our lives with God’s will. When we receive a prophetic word, it should resonate within us, prompting a deeper connection with our faith and community. The scriptures remind us that prophecy serves to comfort and edify, urging us to grow spiritually and support one another in our journey of faith. Through prophecy, we are invited to explore the mysteries of God’s wisdom and to share that understanding with others, fostering a spirit of unity and love.
In reflecting on Luke 22:64, where Jesus is blindfolded and mocked, I am reminded of the humility and strength required to endure trials. Prophecy, in its essence, encourages us to persevere, to find hope in God’s promises, and to be a beacon of light for those around us. It is a call to action, to live out the teachings of Christ with integrity and compassion. As we embrace the prophetic, let us do so with open hearts, ready to be transformed and to transform others through the power of God’s word.
When I reflect on my journey, I’m struck by the paths that have led me to this moment. Each experience, whether challenging or joyful, has shaped my understanding of what it means to truly embrace life. It’s often said that life is not about the destination but the journey itself, and I couldn’t agree more. I’ve learned that every twist and turn brings its own lessons, revealing pieces of myself that I never knew existed.
There was a time when I thought success was defined by a traditional blueprint—education, a steady job, climbing the corporate ladder. But as I navigated different landscapes, both personal and professional, I discovered that success is more nuanced. It’s about following my passions, stepping outside my comfort zone, and daring to dream bigger. It’s the moments of connection with others, the spark of inspiration that comes from sharing ideas, and the courage to be vulnerable in a world that often encourages perfection.
During these explorations, I found the beauty in collaboration. Working alongside others who share a passion ignites a fire within me. It’s in those moments of brainstorming, problem-solving, and celebrating collective victories that I truly feel alive. Together, we can create something extraordinary—each of us contributing our unique strengths to build a vision greater than ourselves.
Of course, the journey has not been without its hurdles. There have been setbacks that tested my resilience. Yet, each obstacle taught me the importance of perseverance and adaptability. I learned to view challenges as opportunities for growth rather than brick walls. The experience of pushing through discomfort has refined my understanding of what it takes to succeed—not only for myself but also for those I wish to inspire.
I’ve come to realise that attention to the small details often makes the most profound difference. Whether it’s a thoughtful email to a colleague, an encouraging word to a friend, or a moment of deep listening, these gestures foster connection and build community. They are the threads that weave us together in shared stories and mutual support, reminding us that we are not alone in our journeys.
As I continue to grow, I’m excited about the possibilities ahead. I’m committed to exploring new horizons and challenging the status quo. I want to inspire others to tap into their own potential, to embrace their unique voices, and to forge their paths with confidence. Each of us carries a story worth sharing, a contribution to make, and a legacy to build.
So, as I forge ahead, I invite you to join me. Together, let’s explore, innovate, and inspire one another. Let’s celebrate not just our successes but also the everyday moments that redefine what it means to live fully and authentically. Here’s to embracing the journey, for it is in this dance of life that we can truly discover who we are meant to be.
There Is Only One Way To The Father
John 14:5 ”Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way?’
Thomas knew Jesus. He just didn’t realize Jesus was ‘the way.’ Likewise, people today know portions of God’s Word but they don’t realize that God’s Word is their way to victory. Often, people cry out for God to speak to them while their Bible lays unopened on their nightstand. God has spoken to us through His Word. We just need to believe it and receive its truths as our way to victory.
Jesus didn’t say: ‘I am a way, a truth, and a life.’ He claimed to be the only way, truth, and life. No man can come to the Father except through Jesus. This means that anyone who claims to honor Jesus while advocating other ways to get to God, truth, or life, besides Jesus, is deceived or a deceiver.
Jesus’ claims about Himself, of which there is only one, left no room for other means to salvation. He is either who He says He is, or He is the greatest deceiver of all time. His own statements about Himself leave no other alternatives. Therefore, other religions that recognize Jesus and His teachings as wonderful examples, but don’t believe He is the only way to achieve salvation, are false.
The Word of God is a spiritual book written under the direction of the Holy Spirit. It was not written to our head but to the innermost part of our heart. This is why some people find the Bible so hard to understand. They are trying to comprehend it using only their mind. The Word of God has to inspire our heart before it can enlighten our mind.
The Apostle Paul, in his letter to the Corinthians, implores the church to speak the same thing, to avoid divisions and to be perfectly joined together. His words resonate with the heartbeat of God’s desire for His people. Are we not called to reflect the unity of the Godhead? How, then, can we allow earthly divisions to hinder the beautiful tapestry of our faith? We must understand that these divisions stem from human pride and misunderstanding, never from the divine will of our Father who sees us all as His beloved children.
As believers, we are already united in Christ, and this should fill our hearts with hope and determination. Consider for a moment how much more effective we would be as vessels of God’s grace if we truly embraced our oneness. The world is watching. They are waiting to see if our lives reflect the love of Christ. As we walk in unity, we wield the greatest tool of evangelism there is—our love for one another. This is the message that declares to the world that Jesus is indeed the Son of God, sent to reconcile us to the Father.
Yet, my dear brethren, we find ourselves facing a formidable enemy who seeks to sow discord among us. Satan loves nothing more than to see believers at odds with one another. We can spend countless resources on evangelism, yet if our hearts are not aligned, our efforts may falter. The unity we have in the Spirit must be actively pursued; it requires our commitment and intentionality. We must let love govern our interactions, fostering an environment where differences are respected, and our shared identity in Christ is celebrated.
Today, we stand at a crossroads. The call to greater unity is not an insurmountable challenge but rather an opportunity to demonstrate the transformative power of God’s love. We may not achieve perfect unity in our lifetime, but we must strive diligently for it. Remember, it is through striving together in love that we will begin to peel back the layers of division crafted by our own hands. The beauty of the body of Christ is that though we may have differing opinions and experiences, we are still one in Him.
As we reflect on the coming of God’s kingdom, we must earnestly pray for His will to be done on earth as it is in heaven. Heaven knows no divisions, and it is the desire of our hearts that we see the reflection of that divine unity in our communities today. Let us encourage one another and hold fast to the incredible truth that we are already one in Spirit. May we actively seek to bring that reality into our daily lives, showing a watching world the beauty of life lived in love and unity. Beloved, let us commit to this journey together, ever seeking the heart of Christ and the unity that He so passionately prayed for.
John 17:21 ‘That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.’
Jesus is praying for all believers to be one as He and the Father are one.
This transcends the superficial notions of unity often advocated in contemporary discourse. The Apostle Paul urged the Corinthians to universally articulate the same sentiments and to eliminate any schisms among them, emphasizing the necessity of being cohesively united in thought and judgment as stated in 1 Corinthians 1:10. This encapsulates the divine benchmark for true unity.
The unity among believers is the essence of what Jesus taught would lead the world to recognize Him as the Son of God, serving as the most powerful instrument for evangelism available to the church. The only pathway for Christ’s body to achieve this oneness, mirroring the unity between the Father and Jesus, is through the divine love that God embodies. It is no surprise that Satan endeavors to instigate discord among believers, as despite our investments of billions in evangelistic efforts across television, radio, conventions, and crusades, the world remains unreached; this lack of evangelization stems from the disunity of the body of Christ in love.
The lack of unity among believers is a significant challenge we face today, a challenge that has developed over many centuries, and one that is unlikely to be resolved quickly. While it is essential for us to actively pursue unity, we must not allow ourselves to be overwhelmed by the magnitude of the issue. As Christians, we have already been united through the body of Christ, and God the Father views all of us as His beloved children. The divisions we witness among Christians are fundamentally human-made, not divine. There was a time, albeit brief, when the church experienced a remarkable sense of unity on earth. In spite of the strife and division that may have arisen since then, it remains true that all believers are one in Christ, destined to share in perfect harmony for eternity. We are united in Spirit and are called to manifest this oneness in our lives here on earth.
‘Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth as it is in heaven’ (Mt. 6:10).
