Now faith, the substance of our hopes, gives us the confidence to believe in the unseen. Through faith, the elders of old were able to obtain a good report, their actions revealing their righteousness. By faith, we recognize that the world was formed by the powerful word of God, shaping the seen from the unseen. Abel’s offering, through faith, surpassed Cain’s, affirming his righteousness as God testified of his gifts. Even in death, Abel’s faith speaks. Enoch, by faith, was spared from death as God translated him, for he had the testimony of pleasing God. Without faith, it is impossible to please Him.
