STATEMENT OF FAITH
Graces’ Favor Mission Disciple
The Scriptures are an unparalleled revelation from God to humanity, serving as the inspired and infallible Word of God. It stands as the ultimate and definitive authority, unblemished in its teachings and affirmations. No other writings possess such divine authority. Our belief rests in Scriptures’ divine inspiration, empowerment, infallibility, and authoritative absolution.
There is a singular, eternal God who exists as a triune being — Father, Son, and Holy Ghost — each and all fully God yet personally distinct. God, as the creator of everything, is the foundation of our faith. We uphold the belief in an eternal God, who manifests as three separate persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
Regardless of race, gender, social class, or intellectual ability, every individual is uniquely crafted in the image of God, destined for an intimate connection with the divine. However, due to the presence of sin, this sacred bond was severed, distancing humanity from God, who is the wellspring of life itself. As a consequence of this separation, all individuals bear the right and the weight of deserving God’s judgment.
Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. God bestows salvation and eternal life upon those who place their trust in Him. Salvation is not attained through personal goodness or human effort, but it is a gift received through repentance and faith in His son Jesus. By confessing Him as saviour with our mouths and believing in our hearts His sacrificial death on the cross and resurrection from the grave, we acknowledge the necessity for man to repent of sin and receive the complete work of Jesus. Such faith results in spiritual rebirth, facilitated by the Holy Spirit.
Jesus, the second Person of the Trinity, was born of the Virgin Mary by the power of the Holy Spirit. He, being fully God and fully human, lived a sinless life. However, out of His great love for us, He willingly took upon Himself our sins and died in our place. Through His resurrection, He conquered death and ascended to Heaven, where He now sits at the right hand of the Father as the advocate and mediator for all believers. We firmly believe that Jesus, the Son of God, was born of a virgin, lived among humanity without sin, demonstrated God’s authority and power through His words and actions, died on the cross, rose from the dead on the third day, and now reigns at the right hand of God. By accomplishing all that was necessary for our salvation, He fulfills the eternal plan of God. We eagerly await His second coming, which will bring the consummation of history and the ultimate fulfillment of God’s plan.
The Holy Spirit, the third Person of the Trinity, convicts the world of sin and gives new life to those who trust in Jesus. He indwells all believers and is available to empower them to lead Jesus-like lives. The Spirit bestows spiritual gifts to serve fellow believers and reach out to a lost and needy world. We believe in the imminent return of Jesus, where believers will be resurrected to a heavenly dwelling in an incorruptible body. Those who do not believe will face everlasting punishment alongside Satan and his host. The Holy Spirit continues the work He started at Pentecost by empowering believers to live godly lives and carry out the works of Jesus.
Unbelievers will be separated from God and condemned at the final judgment, while believers will find solace and acceptance in God’s loving presence.
Disciple of the Church;
All born-from-above believers are members of the body of Jesus, the one true church universal. We believe that the true Church comprises all born-again followers of Jesus, irrespective of their denominational affiliation. Scriptural believers should demonstrate spiritual unity by accepting and loving one another, transcending boundaries of ethnicity, culture, socioeconomic status, nationality, age, gender, and denomination. The local missions and church, as a gathering of believers, serves as a place for worship, prayer, instruction, encouragement, mutual accountability, and community, while also bearing witness to the world.
