EMBRACE NEW LIFE IN CHRIST

The resurrection of Jesus, as foretold in the Old and New Testaments, is a powerful testament to the truth of His divinity. Jesus Himself proclaimed His resurrection before His crucifixion, and His disciples bore witness to His resurrected body, confirming the reality of His triumph over death. Below, you will find the Bible verses and Scriptures that both predict the resurrection of Jesus and provide compelling evidence of the resurrected Christ.

Jesus, who was arrested, tried, and ultimately found guilty, was accused of claiming to be a king by the authorities. His body was hung on a cross between two thieves. After his death, Jesus’ body was wrapped in linen cloth and placed in a tomb with a large stone rolled across the opening. On the third day, an early Sunday morning, Mary Magdalene and Mother Mary came to the tomb and found it empty. Sitting on the rolled-away stone was an angel of the Lord who told them not to be afraid because Jesus had risen. As the women left to tell the disciples, Jesus Christ met them and showed them his nail-pierced hands, confirming his resurrection.

The Resurrection of Jesus Christ serves as the cornerstone of the Christian faith, embodying the profound belief in God’s transformative grace through the life and sacrifice of Jesus. In the miraculous event of his resurrection, Jesus unequivocally affirmed his divine nature as the Son of God and solidified his monumental mission of atonement, redemption, reconciliation, and ultimate salvation for all. The Resurrection, a powerful testament to the unwavering power and love of God, stands as a pivotal moment in history, symbolizing the triumph of life over death and offering believers eternal hope and assurance in the promise of everlasting life.

The miraculous event of Jesus rising from the dead brings comfort and reassurance to believers around the world, reminding them of the power of love and redemption.

After the Sabbath, at dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and Mother Mary went to look at the tomb. There was a violent earthquake, for an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and, going to the tomb, rolled back the stone and sat on it. His appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were white as snow. The guards were so afraid of him that they shook and became like dead men.

The angel said to the women, do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples: he has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him. Now I have told you.

So the women hurried away from the tomb, afraid yet filled with joy, and ran to tell his disciples. Suddenly Jesus met them. Greetings, he said. They came to him, clasped his feet and worshiped him. Then Jesus said to them, do not be afraid. Go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee; there they will see me. (Matthew 28:1-10)
